The Hutchinson & Brown Dairy Farm operated from 1886 to 1897. It was located on the former Murrieta Reserve owned by Juan Murrieta. The property was located between present day Winchester Road and Cherry Street. The dirt road is most likely Jefferson Ave. This property was then leased by the Thompson family who farmed the land for several years. At the turn of the century, Juan Murrieta sold the property to Eli E. Barnett. It is believed Barnett's grandson, Louis Roripaugh then worked the land.
