It’s time to make some pedestals to fire the crystalline glazes. These pedestals are glued to the bottom of the pot with a special glue and then after the pot is glazed, the pedestal with the pot glued to it is put in a catcher and fired. The glaze runs off the pot, down the pedestal, and into the catcher. This is how we contain the fluidity of crystalline glazes.
