I found the Monarch was turning a slight amount of taper on a recent turning job, about .002” per foot. I decided to re-level the lathe and then use the twisting technique to help remove the taper it’s turning. Chucked a piece of 3-1/2” shafting and made some very light 12” long cuts and kept tweaking the tailstock end adjustments on the foot to manipulate the twist of the bed to help correct the error. I got it down to .003” taper per foot. I’m calling it good enough 👍🏻 | Abom79
