We started practise loading in autumn 2024. Oscar went in but his rushing out was dangerous. He loaded ok for our first pleasure ride in Oct 24. Afterwards he refused — rears, lunge lines, people helping... Then big mistake: too long before restarting, he wouldn’t go back in... My technique: dressage whip in my left hand, body language forward, happy voice when going in, firm energy when refusing. This worked with other horses but not Oscar.
