On August 13, 1998 WCW Thunder aired on The SuperStation TBS from Fargo, North Dakota. In the main event, Bret Hart defeated Lex Luger for the WCW United States Championship in front of 9,721 fans at the Fargodome. The win gave Hart the 2nd of his eventual 4 WCW United States Championship reigns. Luger had ended Hart’s first WCW United States Championship reign just 3 days earlier on the August 10th edition of Nitro. | Davenport Sports Network

🦂On August 21, 1997 WCW Clash of the Champions XXXV took place in Nashville, Tennessee from the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. It marked the 35th and final Clash of the Champions pay-per-view in WCW. At the end of the show, Sting appeared in the rafters with a vulture and his black and white face paint inspired by the 1994 film The Crow.
