The most time consuming part of the weaving process is threading up the silk warp threads. This job alone can take upwards of five hours as there are just under 2000 threads in this particular silk warp. Don’t let the plain silver silk fool you - there will be wonderful bands of coloured silk weft woven through to create the next batch of silk scarves.
