Super excited....our five Roscommon breed sheep are now grazing on Cavan grass, so looking forward to being part of the preservation of this old Irish sheep breed. A suitable ram will join them in October and our first lambs will hopefully arrive in March. The bonus for us is the beautiful quality wool that they produce. Our plans for next year are to process, hand spin and dye our own wool. The dyes we use will be plant dyes sourced from our area. Irish Rare Breeds Society | Crafts of Ireland
