Late last week, under the cover of darkness, some new fishy additions were quietly slipped into the Missisquoi River in Swanton by department fisheries biologists. Another 5,000 muskellunge fingerlings, provided by NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, now call the river home, bringing the total number stocked to just over 60,000 in the last 10 years! These 5-inch "muskie" (for short) will reach 10-inches by the end of October, and will eventually become the 30-, 40-, and even 50- incher
