When you subdivide a face, all sides of it are split in half and the vertices connected. 🔔 It's a simple procedure, but one of the most common tools in computer graphics. You also need to learn about the Fill, Grid Fill, Make Edge / Face, and Connect Vertex Path tools and when to use each of them. 🚨 Remember, it's possible to accidentally leave vertices directly on top of each other, which can cause all sorts of confusion.
