Queensland Railways 2000 class rail car 2031 at Ipswich station Saturday June 21, 1980. Until the December 1993 QR Rail Motor 2002 ran from Brisbane to Helidon. This train was timetabled to leave Roma Street at 16:46 Mondays to Fridays, express to Ipswich then all stations to Helidon where arrived at 18:50. Strangely, the last Helidon to Roma Street Railmotor service seems to have ended much earlier in the 1970’s. I recall catching this Rail Motor and I remember being able to sit up from with th
