One of the many weird sounds harbor seals make. Other sounds include: snorting, sneezing, farting and roaring. I worked at a commercial set net site (salmon fishing) one summer and chose to sleep outside in my tent rather than in the tiny cabin crammed with people. At night I would hear these sounds and wonder what the hell was going on outside.
