Crocodile Monitor (Varanus salvadorii) is a large arboreal lizard from New Guinea known as one of the world’s longest lizards reaching up to 9 ft with a tail making up two thirds of its length. It’s characterized by its blackish green color with yellow spots blunt snout and unique flat serrated teeth for slicing prey unlike other monitors with curved teeth. These tree dwelling reptiles use their long tails for balance and as a whip for defense possessing sharp claws for climbing. #bamboo #crocod
