Hormones do impact our tendons. Our tendons don’t love hormone fluctuations and the zone of chaos of menopause (perimenopause) means tendinitis has entered the chat. Menopause icky sticky goop soup starts. The musculoskeletal issues begin in perimenopause and carry on into postmenopause. What we do matters: we must nourish our bodies, load the tendon, fight to make/keep muscle and support recovery/fight off inflammation. Estrogen helped us control inflammation and helped our tendons.
