Garibaldi 🎣 Oregon’s Authentic Fishing Village Garibaldi is a small port town and maritime community at the northern end of Tillamook Bay, close to where the Bay flows into the Pacific. People here are close companions with the sea. At the marina, commercial fishermen haul freshly caught Dungeness crabs, ling cod, rockfish, and even octopus up to the docks. Sport fishermen tell tales at the filet table about their record-size Chinook salmon. Local hometown restaurants serve the catch of the day

There’s only one rule at the Garibaldi Crab Races: No touching the racers. The Garibaldi Crab Races are a long-standing tradition in this small fishing town on the north Oregon coast. The Garibaldi Lions Club now organizes the races during the second weekend in March at the Old Mill events center. Proceeds go to the club’s sight and hearing fund which pays for glasses, hearing aids, and sight and hearing exams for low-income residents of Tillamook County.
