On this day in 1966, The Easybeats starred on Top of the Pops — and lost footage of the performance has now been released by the National Film and Sound Archive. The footage was recovered from New South Wales artist Lucy Culliton, whose late father had left a box marked 'Easybeats print — Friday on my Mind' at the back of a shelf. Of the 315 Top of the Pops episodes produced between 1964-69, the NFSA said only five complete episodes have survived. A digital scan of the performance has been sent
