The sights and sounds of history came to life this past weekend in Durango as a cadre of dedicated Museum donors climbed aboard for a special excursion over the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (D&SNGRR), pulled by the Colorado Railroad Museum’s iconic Rio Grande Southern (RGS) steam locomotive No. 20. Along with No. 20, the train’s consist was capped off by RGS caboose No. 0404, which was recently restored by the skilled crews at the D&SNGRR under contract to the Museum. (To learn more
