This scene from "Bugs Bunny Gets the Boid" (Bob Clampett, 1942) was inspired by gags from live-action silent comedies, particularly a "broken leg" bit by Buster Keaton. The cartoon was also the first appearance of Beaky Buzzard, a vulture inspired by puppeteer Edgar Bergen's character "Mortimer Snerd".
