From our friend Bill, this #Magnavox came in noisy. The culprit was the idler. On these they are either good and virtually like new (usually), or they have turned hard and crusty. While they will turn the platter, they will eventually start dropping chunks out of their edges which will them even noisier, affect record play, and can even stop the platter mid rotation. Replaced!
