Celebrating Old School Anime's Unique Charm

The recent exhibition of Joseph Yaeger at Modern Art has come to an end, and we were pleased to have experienced it. Joseph Yaeger (b. 1986, Helena, Montana) is an American painter based in London whose work explores perception and memory through fragmented visual sources such as film stills and found media. His paintings possess a cinematic quality, marked by tight cropping, ambiguity, and partial obscurity. Central to his practice is the use of watercolour on heavily gessoed canvas or linen. B
