📍Democratic Republic Congo | Between January and March 2024, hundreds of families have fled armed violence in the Rutshuru, Masisi, and Walikale territories, and have settled in Kanyabayonga, north of North Kivu Province. The horrific atrocities that took place in the Congo Free State are often compared to the Holocaust, with king Leopold II of Belgium being compared to the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
