Replying to @lee_4168 There are ways to protect your small bird feeder visitors. Remove feeders for a couple of weeks to encourage hawk to move on. Building a protective wildlife shelter underneath also helps. Use a live Christmas tree and zigzagged tree branches covered with brush to deter hawks and provide safe food for small birds.
