Today I’m installing a set of taps the client half-started themselves. The taps were from Bunnings, so first thing I did was swap out the white washers they’re never the best option. Every plumber has their favourite washers. Mine? The blue ones. Bit controversial since there was a bad batch a while back, but that’s all sorted now. As long as you educate your clients and use quality parts, these blue washers are spot on and still my go-to. I also get asked why I don’t reseat every single time. S
