Growing Azolla for feed The small plant azolla floats on the water of ponds and grows very fast. It is rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals Azolla fixes nitrogen from the air and stores this in its leaves. Azolla is richer in protein, vitamins and minerals than grains and most green fodder.
