Pope Leo XIV has been presented with his official papal portrait mosaic, which will soon be installed in the Basilica of St Paul Outside the Walls as part of the historic series of papal images lining the basilica’s nave. The artwork, composed of more than 15,000 tiles — including some dating back to the 19th century — will become the 267th papal portrait in this centuries-old tradition.
