IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE ('53) marked Universal's first major foray into science fiction and their first official 3-D release. The film also introduced acclaimed sci-fi novelist, Ray Bradbury into the motion picture world. After submitting his story treatment "The Meteor," the studio hired Bradbury to expand the concept, which launched his prolific screenwriting career.
