Even though I often rely on the measurements on my rulers as guides for machine quilting, I also like to add reference lines to ensure everything stays as precise as possible. On darker fabrics—like this stunning quilt—I use a white Mark-B-Gone marker for clarity. And yes, I know you're going to ask: how do I remove the marks? I use a simple mixture of 1 cup filtered water and 1 teaspoon baking soda. If I’ve marked heavily, like I’ve done here, it might take 5–6 heavy misting sessions (or more!)
