Kappa Delta Sorority at Northwestern: Future Bigs Locking In

An all-out Bruin mud brawl? 👀 On November 10, 1937, Bruins packed Spaulding Field for the annual Freshman–Sophomore Brawl, a showdown featuring a tug-of-war, relay races, and a giant 7-foot push-ball game. The prize? Class pride and freedom from “froshie” buttons and green hats called dinks. That year, the drama hit early when freshmen kidnapped sophomore class president Bob Stabler ’40 from his fraternity house! He escaped before the big day but the freshmen still emerged victorious, 7–1. 💪🐻
