A childhood friend of mine recently had to start pilling her cat. She wrote me last night when I was still at my parents' house for Christmas, saying she was having a hard time 5 days in pilling because her cat kept using her paws to get her hands out of her mouth. So I grabbed Murphy and Amy and showed her how to keep his paws out of the way - Murphy gets a Canna Companion hemp pill at night time - so it was good timing. yes, i’ve tried pill pockets, pill dough that’s bacon flavored, wrapping it in tuna flakes, churu, other brands of squeezable treats, and manyyyy brands of wet food. the ONLY food she will touch is the dry food she was sent home with from the shelter, and that’s okay!! 🫶🏻 it just means getting creative with ways to medicate her even if they’re not the “preferred” methods of typical ways we like to medicate cats (with treats, pill pockets, or wet food) #fyp #fostercat | Lucille The Rescue Cat
