With the passage of #BuildingBrighterFutures, CMSD will merge several schools to ensure all Cleveland students can learn in high-quality facilities. These changes create both a challenge and an opportunity as CMSD and the City work to repurpose 18 buildings. Repurposing former school buildings isn’t new for Cleveland — and the old Hawthorne Elementary is a great example. This summer, the former school was transformed into 37 new apartments, giving the building a fresh purpose in the community. |
