In this follow-up, we’re finishing the above-the-floor slide-out repair after getting the room properly aligned in Part 1. With the slide room adjusted and operating square, we reinstalled the EKD base and replaced the damaged slide topper. The original topper was heavily worn and no longer doing its job, so we upgraded it to a Lippert slide topper, replacing the previous Dometic unit. Lippert Scouts: The Community offers an RV owners class (among others) on how to fix and adjust your slides. I’m June Kenny took that class, and it came in handy today. After an 11 hour travel day we arrived to our destination and our living room slide wasn’t coming all the way out on one side. He was able to fix it in about 15 mins.
