With the amount of time saved using this square while framing, not to mention the accuracy gained over other methods, the price shouldn’t be an issue! I’ve been using the framing square from Martinez Tools, and it’s a game changer! My angle cuts have become so much more precise especially with long pitch cuts! It just doesn’t get any better! When I first started framing we didn’t carry speed squares. We carried tri squares because it was everything we needed to layout and mark and cut. It was a square, it had measurements for scribing and could do a 45° which were the most common uses for a square before hitting the roof. For roofs we would always carry Stanley locking adjustable squares. These days we have progressed to the one stop shops of all we need.
