At our table, we’re sharing decoys created by Dennis’s dad, a WWII veteran who found a passion for painting later in life. He’s gone now, but every decoy carries a little piece of his story. ❤️🎣 And honestly? It reminded me so much of real estate. Al Nelson is a lifelong wood carver who got his start decades ago right here in Cadillac with one of the best known and most widely imitated fish decoy carvers in history, Oscar Peterson. Peterson's carvings are now extremely valuable collectables, some of which live in the Smithsonian Museum!
