The F-86 Sabre was America’s answer to the Soviet MiG-15 during the Korean War. Both were sleek, swept-wing jet fighters that pushed the limits of early jet technology, but each had very different strengths. The MiG-15 packed two 23 mm cannons and a powerful 37 mm gun, built to destroy bombers with a single burst. The Sabre, on the other hand, relied on six fast-firing .50-caliber machine guns combined with a radar-assisted gunsight that allowed incredible precision in turning dogfights. Powered
