For our #ThrowbackThursday we present to you this stunning 1886 cornet, courtesy of Time Was Museum here in our very own Elkhart IN. Time Was Museum director Mr. Thomas shared with us extensive Conn factory history and mentioned that the first notable cornet virtuoso player was Jean-Baptiste Arban. Arban studied the cornet extensively and published La grande méthode complète de cornet à piston et de saxhorn. This has now been commonly referred to as the Arban method, since 1864! . If you examine
