RICHMOND — Investigators say improper maintenance and the pilot's lack of emergency procedural training may have contributed to a fatal plane crash at a Vancouver Island airport in 2024.

A Sonoma County fire engine was involved in a crash Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 11, in Windsor while responding to another collision, a department spokesperson said. The crash occurred about 3:15 p.m.
