Monterey County Sheriff's Office investigating loud 'boom' heard throughout county

People all over the Monterey Peninsula up to Prunedale reported hearing a loud "boom" noise Monday morning. At around 10:30 a.m., people on social media and KSBW 8 callers flocked to ask, "What was that noise?" Some people even reported feeling shaking.
