Roman Anthony reveals key lessons from first World Baseball Classic
Boston Red Sox outfielder Roman Anthony originally wasn't supposed to be in the World Baseball Classic this year. But when Corbin Carroll went down with an injury last month, Anthony got the offer to fill in for him on Team USA.
Italy trailed only briefly after a leadoff home run by Willi Castro before scoring four runs in the first inning to go on top for good. Puerto Rico rallied late, scoring four runs in the eighth, but Red Sox reliever Greg Weissert allowed one hit in a scoreless ninth for a five-out save.
